But until then, we have a few suggestions that may come in handy before the big event. There are many ways to enhance your ring, some of which includes upgrading the center stone, restyling the current mounting, or trading it in for a completely new ring! Read on to learn more before you do some restyling of your own at the Restyle Your Ring Event in Burlington!
1. Upgrade the Center Stone
They always say the most important thing when it comes to buying a diamond engagement ring are the 4 C's: Color, Clarity, Cut and Carat. Sometimes when you first buy a ring, it can seem more cost effective to go for something of a lesser size or quality, while planning on a higher quality diamond for later in life. That time is now! You're at a different place and you're finally ready to let that change reflect in your engagement ring too...although, you may not want to change too much. A way to keep the original look of your ring while enhancing its beauty is by upgrading the center stone. Besides getting a bigger diamond, you could get the same carat diamond with a better clarity, reset the mounting with a different cut (trade in a round diamond for a cushion cut), or even switch out the diamond altogether for a colored gemstone instead.
2. Restyle For an Updated Look
Restyling your ring is a great way to not only upgrade to reflect your current status and style, but for maintaining the original look of your ring and its sentimental value. Upgrading your diamond, as mentioned above, is a great way to start - but why stop there? Add a halo, double or triple halo, side diamonds, colored gemstones, change the mounting, upgrade the setting, the list goes on and on. There's also the option to change your metal type from white gold to platinum (for longer lasting quality) or rose gold to yellow gold. You could even add diamonds to the shank to enhance the brilliance of the center stone for a subtle but noticeable difference. Adding to the original ring is also a sweet way to symbolize the growth you have experienced within your relationship since you first put that engagement ring on all those years ago.
3. Trade in For an Entirely New Ring
A lot of time may have passed since your spouse put that engagement ring on your finger. It's natural to evolve and change,so it is perfectly understandable that your engagement ring may need a revamp as well. If that is the case, trade it in and upgrade for something that reflects the couple you are today. You can trade in what you have to get the ring you've wanted for years! What better way to represent a new chapter of your life than with a new and improved ring? There is no better way to celebrate a successful and happy marriage- you deserve it!
