John Hardy and the Spirit of Bali


Founded in 1975, John Hardy jewelry is inspired by Bali and its time-honored jewelry-making traditions. After visiting Bali in the mid-70s, Canadian designer and artist, John Hardy’s, interest was piqued by the island's jewelry-making.  Shortly after he began learning the techniques of the local artisans and developed his first pieces by applying new design concepts to the traditional Balinese techniques. Hardy soon established an artisan collective in Bali, and for over 40 years, his artisans have been dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind jewelry and preserving the rich heritage of Bali. Here are a few of our favorite John Hardy pieces currently in our collection!
